1. I used a first person perspective while creating my drawing.
2. I used a medium of graphite to draw my piece. 3. I took the photo out in the hallway to capture the essence of our home school, AHS, as we take a journey to a new school. 4. Creating everything in the correct proportions was the hardest part of making this piece. It was hard to capture everything perfectly realistic. 1. The criticism of art is done through explaining your piece and what it means to you, while, showing what you've learned over the time period of creating your art. You must use your vocabulary learned in this class to show how you made your piece and what you could've done better to appeal to your initial idea. Judge your work fairly and analyze everything about your piece.
1. The different mediums I used, consisted of, tissue paper, pencil, acrylic paint and string. The tissue paper created my background and was a stale pick. The Acrylic paint created the the coloring of the rocks. The pencil was used to draw in the building under Mt. Rushmore and the pink string was used as a border on the backing.
2. My word was Father and this portrays my father because I took a trip with him to Colorado in order to drive out all of my sister's belongings to CSU. Our tray is used for snacks of all types, such as, oranges and various fruits. Our perfectly designed toothpick holders make it easy to pick grapes and such up. We also include napkin rings so that your snack-filled day can have an easy cleanup.

First, we shaped our tray by rolling out a slab and putting it into a plastic tray. Then, letting the tray dry slightly over a day or two, we then etched a large palm tree into the center of our tray. The napkin rings were created by taking pieces of a slab and cutting a wave into it and rolling it up into a ring shape. The whales, on the other hand, were shaped by hand and holes were poked where the toothpicks would go. Finally, we glazed everything and we were done. 1. My piece represents "Line" because when I drew my initial sketch I used only straight lines to draw it. Secondly,
2. I thought I was very successful at creating what I initially imagined in my mind of a bear roaring in the night. Initially I never had any hair lines showing on the outer rim of the bear's fur, but improvised it into my piece during the cutting process because I thought it needed something different. If I were to change anything in my piece I would probably leave a couple of black streak lines throughout the big empty 1. The value scales were by far the most helpful warmup. The value scales helped create a more significant scheme of black and white values for me to use in my drawings.
2. Composition- Placement of elements and principles of art. Value- Element of design that defines the light and darks in an artwork. 3. Ink- Ink can look the most professional, but it is very unforgiving when you mess up. Charcoal- Charcoal gives the best values I think, but is hard to give detail to. Pencil- Pencil can create fine details, but can be very time consuming. |
